About Crop PDF

Crop PDF trims fixed top, right, bottom and left margins from every page. Enter the four amounts in millimetres and review the dashed crop rectangle on page 1. The same margins are validated against every page, including mixed-size documents. This is a box edit, not destructive redaction: content outside the new visible page boxes may remain recoverable from the file.

How to use Crop PDF

  1. Load one PDF

The tool reads every displayed page size and reports the first page plus the smallest size in a mixed document.

  2. Enter margins

Type non-negative Top, Right, Bottom and Left values in millimetres. The values apply to every page.

  3. Review page 1

The dashed rectangle shows the area that will remain visible on the first page. Invalid margins are blocked if they leave a page unusably small.

  4. Crop and download

Press Crop & download to set new CropBox and MediaBox values on every page.

Frequently asked questions about Crop PDF

Can I draw a rectangle or crop pages differently?

No. This tool has four numeric margin fields and applies the same amounts to every page. It does not offer drag handles, automatic edge detection or per-page crop settings.

Is cropped content permanently erased?

No. Changing page boxes controls what readers display and print, but it is not a content-removal guarantee. A PDF editor or forensic tool may still recover objects outside the visible box. Use Redact PDF in Wipe mode for sensitive regions.

Can PDFChamp restore a crop later?

This tool only trims inward from the page boxes it receives; it has no restore-original command. Keep the original file if you may need the removed margins again.

Why in-browser processing matters

Every PDFChamp tool runs inside this page: the file you choose is read by JavaScript in your own browser and is never sent to a server, so nothing is uploaded, queued, or stored anywhere. That removes the upload wait, the processing queue, and the question of what happens to your file afterwards — the PDFChamp overview compares this architecture with server-side PDF tools.
